Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have  a chance to purchase my dream car but not at the expense of buying  a lemon. It seems to be ok. Its mint  56K Miles and  11K to purchase.  All I read are bad things.   Are they all crappy?

http://www.edmunds.com/chrysler/sebring/2008/consumer-reviews.html ...owners seem to really love them with this exception, but that's just what it is..an exception out of maybe 20 reviews I looked at, only one reads like this: This was by far the worst car I have ever purchased. I have nothing but problems with this car.

Opinions vary as do vehicles. In 2003 my job bought 3 brand new Chevy S-10 Pick Up Trucks. Two of the 3 were great, trouble free trucks. The third was a "dud". We had nothing but trouble with it. Everything from not starting to the A/C breaking down. It was involved in a front end collision and the airbags did not deploy. So they totaled it. The other two gave years of good service and racked up well over 250,000 miles as delivery trucks. In fact, when they retired them in 2011, I bought one. It now has 282,000 miles on it and still runs good. Every now and then a "bad apple" leaves the factory. But overall it sounds like they've got good reviews. If your not sure, have the car professionally inspected. It'll cost around $150.00. That way you can be sure the one you're getting is a "good apple". HTH. -Jim
