Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I found this car and she the auto parts
store told her that she had a misfire
what is that what does it mean how do
you fix it is it expensive

First of all is the check engine light on ? If so have it scanned for codes at a auto parts store like autozone they will scann it for free. The most common problem with a miss fire is bad spark plugs, wires, ignition coil or low compression on a cylinder or cylinders indicating a bad head gasket.
