I have a 2008 impala and needing some help, as I'm driving I can hear a loud noise that sounds like a pop can rattling and when I turn the steering wheel to the left it is the car goes into neutral

You may have a very bad alignment issue. Check the tires for wear. You could have a brake pad hanging up. Your drive boot may have a bearing going out or a wheel bearing going out. If you can, jack up the car so the front tire is off the ground and turn the tire and listen for any grinding or rubbing sounds. Does it turn freely? If it does, turn the tire to the left and check it again. If you can put the car safely off the tires, (front wheel drive) put it in gear and listen to the wheel as it rotates and turn it to the left and listen. Look, and feel.
