2004 Silverado crank but no start.
I have a 2004 Silverado 4.3. It was stored for a
couple years. When I was ready to try and get it
started. I put a few drops of oil in the cylinders so
not to start it dry. It cranks and tries to start but
wouldn't. I tested fuel pressure and it holds right at
54 lbs it will hold that pressure overnight. I found a
leaking pressure regulator and replaced it. I
cleaned up the spider. Put in new plugs. Put it all
back together with new gaskets. It started and ran
fairly strong except for an obvious miss. I restarted
it a few times that evening. Then it went back to
the same no start condition. It tries to. I've tested
for spark and they're good. I tested each injector
for spray with the coil wire pulled. They all spray in
a single stream. Not a cone or fan. This is the
spider with the individual injectors on each tube.
I'm curious if anyone else has seen this kind of
thing. I'm also curious of fuel flow vs pressure. Or
even overfeeding injectors or mistimed
injectors.Any info would be greatly appreciated.
There's something I'm missing or possibly an
intermittent thing ie loose wire somewhere.
