one of the sensors can you tell me if you
familiar with these things.never had a
problem with the transmission I change the
radiator in a lot of the fluid came out of the
line. I brought two quarts of transmission
fluid put in the car it want and reverse went
fine put it in drive it go find . park the car for
2 weeks . and want to drive it it won't go
when I put it and drive .but it go and reverse
.just don't get it
Have you rechecked the fluid level? A code check should tell you if there are any transmission codes.
Yes I just did the code check say nothing wrong with the transmission.do the cars have any sensors on them?
Yes. there is the speed sensor it tells the ECM and the TCM vehicle speed, gear selector switch that tells the ECM and the TCM what gear you have selected, a number of solenoids that switch the gears when commanded from the TCM. So you need to find out if the TCM is actually commanding the shift solenoids to go from reverse too drive or any other gear. Do you have access to a "live data" scanner, if so you actually see the commands being given, and where to go from there.
No I don't have access to DAT .do you no ware the ECM and the TCM located on the car.
TCM is right of the glove box under the kick panel, any way that is what the book says. ECM is under the hood.
