It should the center plug on the side of the engine that faces the radiator.

#4 is the second plug in from the passenger side nearest the fire wall. #1 on a rear wheel drive was always driver front. now they have turned the engine left to putting the transmission bellhousing to the drivers side and moving #1 to the passanger front. making #4 second plug in from the passanger side nearest the fire wall.

Shaggy your way off Tenspeed is correct. The front 3 are 2,4,6 from passengers side to drivers side, and the rear are 1,3,5 passenger to driver, on a general motors and Chrysler. Ford is 1,2,3 on he back and 4,5,6 on the front. General motors and Chrysler count on the crank journals from from to back and ford starts at the furthest forward piston and heads clockwise around. Every mechanic needs to know that.
