Why does my 2004 Chevy Malibu Low Coolant light keep coming on?
I'm driving a 2004 Chevy Malibu. It has 79 000 kms.
My low coolant light comes on about 90% of the time when I first start the car but then goes off. I had my coolant flushed and changed in January 2010. I haven't noticed any leaks either.
Could this be a problem with the computer or should I take it to a mechanic?
The car isn't over heating. Sometimes in stop and go traffic the thermostat reads just above the half way point.
Everything looks like its operating properly on the engine so I would say the low coolant switch is bad. Its usually a plastic switch located on the coolant reservoir or Half way down one of the side plastic tanks of the radiator
ow coolant sensor or probe failure replace it
I'm having same trouble
Could possibly be small leak in heater core. Do windows fog up when heater turned on?
