Chevy Aveo 2004
Chevy Aveo 2004 daytime running lights module caught on fire. Anyone else have this problem? This is definitely a defective module. Chevy has been no help and has denied a problem. I read that the 2004 Chevy Optra also had problems with the module catching fire.
i hate to be there bearer of bad news but get rid of that aveo. i work at a used car dealer and we got 2 aveos in from auction, both with about20k miles. both had electrical issues, one needing a new underhood fuse panel for shorting out, the other frying its multi function switch. the aveo seams to have more than its fair share of electrical gremlins
I have a 2004 Aveo 5 it has not give me any trouble at all ,except thge drl will not work, were is the module it does not show it in the owners manual around here everyone is happy with their aveo's
If your module catches fire, why do we not hear more complaints of this nature.I think that most likely it was caused by fiddling with the electrics, Fires are usually caused by shorts.
It is part of the recall work. know others that have had this problem.
