can a dealership sell savage auto's without stating so.
just by chance i googled the vin number of a suv i was interested in came up as savage in
california and im in florida. dealers description states just traded in. RED FLAG?
BINGO They must tell you it has a salvage title. I don't believe that they have to put it the ad.
Definitely a red flag! Don't even think about buying this SUV. That's INSANE...A Florida Dealer trying to pawn off a Salvaged Auto from Cali and says it was "just traded in"?? Just curious, did this Dealer also offer you a free Car Fax Report on their website...are they a small roadside dealer or a big one? EITHER WAY, Let us know who they are...AND make sure you BLAST them when it comes time to write a review for them on CarGurus! Strongly suggest that you do NOT buy anything from them EVER! I had a similar experience with a "big name dealer" trying to sell a Nissan Altima that damn near went thru a minefield and was rebuilt and they were trying to sell it as a fixer-upper...They lost my business for LIFE!
Yes the dealer must disclose this fact at the time of sale before you sign the papers!! Don't buy this vehicle!! GOOD JOB on doing your homework!! Nice work!! HTH. -Jim
Florida and California both have what are called "Lemon Laws", and any licensed dealer must inform you of any title related issues as well as any known mechanical issues before selling the vehicle to you.
Even if you try to finance it you would most likely get a denial, because most banks/creadit union don't give out a loan for salvage cars
