when the oil cap is removed, should it make the sound of a (Vac) seal being broken?
Heard a winding sound out of the blue. Automatically watched temp. gauge go up. Went
ahead and gased up. went back to the house & noticed oil on bottom half of motor. Not
consistant with valve cover gaskets. So i checked to see if oil cap was on tight. And
When removing the oil cap , you should get a small amount of vacuum, if your getting a huge amount, then check your PCV valve and hoses. You probably have too much pressure building up, forcing the oil from the gaskets. So replacing the PCV and the gasket that failed is in order.
