My car cranks a little longer in the morning unless I turn the key to on first. The cranking sounds normal. What could be the problem?

Could be your fuel pump, by letting the key sit a while before cranking it over allows the pump to build up system pressure, I would first change the fuel filter to see if that helps. If not I would have a pressure test done on the system.

Hi, I think the filter was changed back in November before the car was given to me.

Ok then that should be fine, I would have the pump pressure tested, should be about 53 to 60 PSI...

Thanks!

Are there places that can test this at either no or low cost?
