Asked by Dec 06, 2013 at 01:04 PM about the 2005 Chevrolet Cobalt

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Within the past couple days my car has been going between 200-215 while driving or
parking, normally its between 180-190. Is this considered overheating with this car?

No, it's not overheating but I'd suggest checking your coolant level. It may be a little low. HTH. -Jim

I agree with Js. While its not an emergency, any time your car suddenly starts doing something a lot differently than it has been up until now, its trying to tell you something, and that something is rarely good, and tends to only get worse. Blew the engine in my Cobalt a year ago because I ignored that odd noise it suddenly started making.
