why does my 2007 torrent overheat?
Replaced heat sensor, thermostat, bled the air from the system, changed rad cap and still overheats. it pushes the antifreeze out of the overflow jug. Does not do it when just idling but when car is in motion.
Radiator could be plugged internally or you have a blown head gasket.
Check your oil and see what color it is, then while running look at the exhaust pipe and look for water or white smoke, then look in reservoir while running and look for bubbles coming up, if the oil looks like a milkshake or you have any other of those symptoms, you probably have a blown head gasket. Depending on where it blew the signs will be different.
The above sounds like potential answers but what about the Cooling Fan(s) are they running at all? I do not understand if the Head gasket or Block is leaking, why is water being blown out of the Burp bottle. The water should be going out the exhaust or into the engine as stated. Sounds too hot. Sometimes if you have used a lot of coolant system sealer it will settle to the lower core elements and decrease the radiator effectiveness. There is no substitute for getting the Radiator rodded, flushing just doesn't get the job done.
