Are your cooling fans coming on? Is the system filled with fuild? Is the pump working?

Yes my cooling fan comes on my air conditioner is running until it start over heating then gets hot.. I'm waiting for the car to cook down to check fluids first

Before you do anything with the vehicle check the coolant level and at this point its very likely the Pontiac now needs a headgasket(s) from overheating. I suggest you have the coolant checked for CO (Carbon Monoxide), done with a chemical tester or better yet a gas analyzer. Have it serviced a competent repair facility-They will give you the news.

The coolant level is at 260 and then drops back down to 225

There's brown yucky stuff in the coolant levels no liquid in there what so ever

Not good, find a recommended repair faculty and check cost of repairs!
