my car is belching white smoke and revs go very high on its own

Asked by May 07, 2016 at 06:29 AM about the 2007 Hyundai Tucson

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

1 Answer

White smoke is not good, usually means a blown head gasket, idling up is just the computer is trying to clear the exhaust so the O2 sensors can work, O2 sensors don't like coolant and it can ruin them, so take it to a shop you trust and get checked and repaired and then see what the computer says is out of specs with anything else.
