shop is asking close $800 to repair airbag light which is on, is this right
Our 2007 is due for inspection, but airbag light is on, repair shop is asking close $800 because they said that they need to remove drive seat and repair/replace sensor switch inside the seat. I find this very difficult to swallow. Any advise anyone.
Get a couple more local estimates, every shop is different.
This item is under a recall by Hyundai. Find out of your VIN # is included in the recall. Repair should be free.
If you are out of warranty then call a recycling yard ask for the seat. Installing is not very hard. 4 bolts and connect the wires and your done. You can also take to a shop or see video on youtube.
