my best suggestion would be to look up those years on wikipedia, theres a good chance somone on there has posted an in depth discription on it, sorry i couldnt help more

Hi Gibson, I still have my oo 1976 GP . Originaly it was only offered in the gold LG model only . I bought mine when u get pick other colors. Silver with grey and full vinyl roof,400,LJ. I don't recall the sj model with the T Tops. Its funny they had a recall on the original ttops and replaced them at Somerset Pontiac and they have leaked ever since. It has been one of the best cars i've ever owned , start it once ayear, not fogged, not covered just put the batt charger on her and some fresh gas..

My dad and my sister both had golden aniversary GPs I still have the hood ornament and the (Hurst t tops) although one is cracked. Hurst is on the glass.

Yes, 1976 Pontiac Grand Prixs did come with factory Hurst Hatches as an option. I have a SJ and it was built with factory T-Tops. I have the orginal build sheet from PHS.

I had a 1976 Buick Regal S/R with the HURST HATCH option. Beautiful car , a shame it leaked since the day I bought it. After about 50 visits to the service dept. A rep from GM send me to another dealer who installed a different brand from scratch.
