I have a 2006 Impala. Four years ago, at 80,000 miles, the transmission had to be replaced.

Asked by Jul 25, 2016 at 05:01 PM about the 2006 Chevrolet Impala

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Transmission replaced four years ago at 80,000 miles.  Now at 118,000 miles,
transmission fluid leaking at front of housing.  Just runs right back out when
replaced.  Shop recommending complete rebuild.  Shouldn't a transmission
last more than 38,000 miles?  I do regular needed maintenance on all the car.
Problem with this year make and model?
