The Yellow colors on a 1976 Pontiac Firebird

Asked by May 03, 2009 at 10:00 AM about the 1976 Pontiac Firebird

Question type: General

I was wondering if anyone could help me out. When I was a kid, my Aunt had a 76 Yellow Firebird. It was kind of a malibu-esque surfer yellow. Kind of faded.
It doesnt look like the bright goldenrod yellow that is real bright that I see on a lot of Formula models.

In any event, she once told me that that was the first year they had that color, but she's older now and got rid of it in the late 70's, and doesnt remember too much about it.

Anybody know anything about this particular color from that period?

Was it like a washed-out canary yellow like this one? http://www.dealsonwheels.com/images//barcode/00497312705_1thumb.jpg
