what motor mounts

69 firebird ,had 350,but installing 400,bought motor mounts,and set motor down in and its not square with engine compartment or frame,i bought the car in pieces,someone else took it apart 20 years ago.,am I missing something ,trans mount fit good but motor is offset to left side of engine compartment,,,

You may have to modify your mount,s for the 400,

Several companies make the motor mounts for this swap. Pontiac changed the bolt pattern in the mid-70's. Try Ames, or Performance Years.

i checked into the adapters ,but the motor ive put in has all 5 mounting holes and still don't fit right,
