side firebird emblems
can u give me the measurements for the side emblems.how many inches from side riubber and from top of fender
the '69 don't have no emblems...just a chrome bit of text on the fender~
you might just take a measurement from one in a museum...or perhaps a friend has the data that you seek~
Try ebay or Faxon Auto Literature for a factory shop manual and factory body manual. These books will give you the correct specs for emblem placement on the car. There were one on each front fender, two 400 or 350 emblems on the hood (depending on which V8 you had, a Pontiac emblem on the left side of the grille, P-O-N-T-I-A- C letters across the back just under the trunk lid, and, if equipped, a 400 emblem on the right rear edge of the deck lid. My Sister had a '69 Firebird 400 coupe that I loved! It caught fire in June of 1981. She junked it for $40.00!! Only the engine compartment was damaged. She still hears about it nearly 33 years later. HTH. -Jim
okay, you got me....there's one in front of the lettering!~
okay someone will go nutz, but here's the dingus~
Um, Judge your picture is of a '68. The '69s only had the word "Firebird" on the front fenders. The second photo is correct for a '69. It's the rear side marker lamp bezel. The '68 rear side marker lights were the Pontiac arrowhead. The '67s, unless originally delivered to Pennslyvania, had no rear side marker lights. HTH. -Jim
