What is the numbers and model description for a 1989 pontiac bonneville LE replacement transmission.

Depends if you have the overdrive 4-speed transmission, or the three-speed non-overdrive transmission. You can also look at your transmission pan, most times the name of the trans is stamped into the pan, visible from underneath the vehicle. If it is not, the shape and number of bolts in the pan will tell you which one you have when compared to the chart that most Auto parts stores have hanging in their back rooms.
