Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2006 chevy cobalt and on the driver side near the
fuse box and coolant reservoir sometimes I can smell
burning fluid. My husband looked at it and didn't see
anything but did see that my windshield fluid cap was
open. Could it have possible sloshed out while driving and
what I am smelling the wiper fluid burning off?

A leak that lands on the hot engine or exhaust is suspect. How are the valve cover gaskets? Coolant level low? Cap the Windshield washer reservoir and check it every couple days and see if the smell goes away.
