How do I fix the automatic four wheel drive hubs in my 88 Nissan pickup? Everything engages except the hubs

Asked by Oct 04, 2013 at 09:43 PM about the 1988 Nissan Pickup

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I engage the 4 wheel drive the
axles all turn but the wheels don't

Probably the little catch springs have broken inside the hubs, I doubt that you can buy replacement parts from Nissan any more but you might check too see if they have a hub repair kit and do both sides. If not then try getting a set of replacement hubs from your local auto parts store.
