I have a 1986 Nissan/dat truck that won't turn over any suggestions

I have a 1986 Nissan/dat truck d21 that I bought last year well when we bought it it started right up but now the truck
won't turn over at all. We have dash lights and signals and radio etc but it will not turn over. Have disconnected the
clutch thing that's behind the cluch lol.... And nothing have bought new starter and nothing literally nothing any
suggestions????

first off if disconnect clutch switch you must splice the 2 wires together on the jack you pulled,,thats ok that way it just cranks without depressing the clutch,,beyond that a thiner wire runs from the ingnition switch to the starter solonoid, usally on top the starter,temporaly take a hot wire from bat.plus+ to solinoid and touch terminal,make your in neturial or the truck jumps forward,it should crank if not starter or solnoid or ground needs cleaned

the floormat has been removed from the action of the clutch. You already noted this. Check your battery to make sure both terminals have no corrosion and the black wire goes to the block and to the engine. then we'll talk~

the battery is most likely corroded and needs to be hosed off and wirebrushed. get the ground wire and and other side terminal what goes to the frame and block. Establish good electrical connections. very necessary.

Thanks everyone it ended up being the ignition was locked... Now I have another question.... Anyone know why it won't idle???? I can get it to start but it dies afterwards... Any suggestions?

I have an 87 D21 Nissan truck it will start and run but just a second then stop firing you can leave it over night and it will crank again. I have changed the coil got the same thing. I checked the voltage to the coil with switch on its 12.95 volts when turning over it goes down to 9.5 volts. any suggestions ? 2 answers

I have a 1990 nissan d21. It runs great until I'm om a steady drive for about 9 miles then it turns off pops then turns back on. Turn the truck off for 1 min then its fine for another 9 miles. 2 answers
