Fluid needs replacing - does this mean a leak? Is it drastic?

I'm not sure what your question is? Is the fluid low? Have you had to keep topping it off, and it keeps draining low? Did a mechanic tell you it needs to be replaced? You're really not giving anyone enough information to help you.
