no. vtec is not an option on the 86-89 integras. they had d16 dual cam non vtec motors in them....i have one for sale if you are looking.
The USDM integra did not have vtec. The 89 JDM honda integra had a zc vtec 1.6
right...but the vtec zc was a single cam vtec...the us integras were dual cam. and i believe that they had about the same amount of power but the vtec might hav ad like 5 more horse.
Pretty much answered ur own question when u put "LS" in ur topic... lol.
no.,i think it came with twin cam.also v-tech came a little later.
The first car in the U.S. to ever have VTEC was the NSX
agreed...first us car was the nsx...but for non rich people, i believe it was the 92 integra gsr
yes that is correct. It was a B17 and it came out in 92 and 93
no i dont believe, i got a 86 integra sitting in my yard here. It is non v-tec but dohc.
Can U show me a pix--wonder if it's hopped up? I have an '88.
When you're talkin' about an '89 JDM, do U mean 2nd-gen? '89 was first year of the 2nd-gen in Japan.Otherwise, the engine code is correct--those engines, however never had VTEC.You can ask me how the JDM makes more power than USDM if interested.
The ZC was similiar in configuration to the D16 A1/A3--DOHC head w/o VTEC available--137 hp JDM vs. 113-118 hp USDM.
