Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Purchased a year ago. Ran fine till the fluid found wings.  Replaced missing 3 of 6 trans bolts, seal, and bushing.  Bushing was worn, seal appeared new.   Could there be a hairline
crack in the torque converter opening at operating temp?

This is quite possible. I would suggest having this checked by a mechanic and have the trans fluid pressure/output checked as well. Perhaps something is clogged up in there causing it to overpressure and blow out. Do you have the fluid at the proper level? Overfilling can cause fluid leakage and bad seals.
