Just had oil changed in 1986 VW cabriolet. They used 5w30 and after driving about 20 miles the battery and oxs light came on and will not go off. Why would this be? No manual. Is 5w30 wrong oil?

my cabriolet is strange. I runs great most of the time. Once in a while while driving the rpms fall below 10k and the car bogs down. It take about 45 seconds to get to 45 mph from a stop. When this happens I drive home and park the car. Upon the next start up everything is working fine. I have a new fuel filter, plugs air filter,wires, no vaccum leaks. Your thoughts on whast I could check next? Thank you 2 Answers

ok so my oil light on the dash board is flickering and im about to order some oil presure sensors but i was wondering if the oil im useing is to thin and might not be sending the right oil presure? 9 Answers

Im using 10-20 oil should I be using a thicker oil to maybe get a better oil pressure? thanks for the help!
