Windsheild

Asked by Sarah Jun 04, 2017 at 09:45 PM about the 1973 Volkswagen Beetle

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So my 1973 super beetle has a weird white fog on
the edges of the windshield. Can I fix it or do I have
to get a new one?

The "fog" is actually where the inner and outer sections of the safety glass are separating from age. The only fix for that is a new windshield. If you decide to replace it, plan to replace the rubber seal too.
