If the engine wont turn over then I would make sure you are getting power to the starter by checking the battery cables and the wires to the starter. If the engine is turning over but wont start then it has to be a problem with the fuel or the spark. I would then check the spark plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor and the coil if needed. Then check the fuel filter and clean the carberator if needed.
