1973 volkswagen beetle 1600cc when i turn the key it does all the right things but it wont kick over
this happened a few days ago and i don't know how this fixed it but i pulled the gas line
from the carb put it back on then it started right up it has ran and started fine for 2 days
now it wont start again. Tried the same thing and it still wont start. i checked the fuel
pump and its fine. what could this be?
If the engine wont turn over then I would make sure you are getting power to the starter by checking the battery cables and the wires to the starter. If the engine is turning over but wont start then it has to be a problem with the fuel or the spark. I would then check the spark plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor and the coil if needed. Then check the fuel filter and clean the carberator if needed.
