I have a 1971 VW super beetle convertible with a karmann logo on it. What does this mean and does it increase value of the car?

Karmann Coachworks built every VW Beetle convertible. If you've seen one without their emblem, it probably was missing. They've done low volume, specialty VW models for many years.
