Hello goodlady-- According to www.nadaguides, average retial for a 1971 VW Beetle in $3,450, which is $1,550 more than I paid for mine brand new back when I just graduated from college. Take a look at the CarGurus site for this model and you will see information on price ranges according to mileage, etc. Good luck from Bovan.
