Question type: Car Customization

Cylinder 2 and 4 are hitting solid and
perform great but 1 and 3 not so
much. These two cylinders hit but not
like 2 and 4 . Iv replaced plugs ,wires
,distributor cap, and rotor also had my
heads rebuilt but still no luck. I have
two 34mm one barrels as my carbs
and was wondering if gas could be
whats throwing my motor off like this?
Im open to any advice pls help

Make sure the valves are set properly, if they are too tight that will cause the problem you have described.

Run a compression test and see if those two cylinders test low. If so, squirt about a teaspoon full of oil in them through the spark plug hole and retest. If the compression readings come up to where they should be there's a problem with the rings. If not, it's a valve problem. HTH. -Jim
