Did the 1961 volkswagen beetle come in a 3 speed ????

Just bought a 1961 Volkswagen Beetle. Haven't brought it home yet. The appraisal had it listed as a 3 speed. I thought the 1961 was a 4 speed.

It is quite possible the appraiser got it wrong. Everything I have read indicates a 1961 VW Beetle as having a 4-speed transmission.

Appraiser was wrong they're all 4 speeds.
