what's the best way to take an antenna off

I can't get the antenna off my '59 volkswagon.  It needs replacing.   What 's the best way to remove an antenna?

Hello, This is some tough information to find. I would recommend purchasing a book on Beetle restoration, which should give you very accurate information on how to change out the antenna without damaging the car.
