What type of clamp was used to attach the bottom of the return hose on the power steering.

I bought a new return hose for my power steering on my 87 Wagon. The top is attached
with a screw type clamp. The bottom in attached by what looks like a binding type clamp.
It looks like a smooth sided band with a small square nut on it. Have no clue.Cant get it
off.

Probably one of the OEM one time use clamps. You'll have to cut it off and purchase a screw type clamp like the top one to replace it.
