I have a 1989 Jeep Cherokee Laredo and when I turn the heater on, the blower does not come on but when I turn the AC on the blower motor does come on. What could be the problem?

control head is bad. There are contacts in head. You may also want to pull the head and see if any connectors are melted where wires plug into head
