What the need to knows?
i am getting a 89 cherokee. i have never had a jeep before. what are some must knows about this year and model?
find out what the common problem for that specific year my hubby owned 2 previous jeeps before this 95 one. the 95 is almost like 92 jeep i had but my hubby used to own 87 jeep it ran for 1 year then we kept having to replace clutch discs then the transmission went so we had to sell it do a research on the years
-Again, WAY too late. -The critical point is the ECU. The '89s still had the unrepairable RENEX system. If your car has an automatic tranny you are doubly out of luck. If, and this a very big IF you can find a wiring harness from a '95 to include the complete wiring harness, radiator & coolant fuel pump, filter and return line from the fuel tank. It might be easier to get the radiator, cooling reservoir, engine & tranny (if you have or want an automatic tranny) from, preferably, a '95. They have a pretty good reputation and will give the OB2 sensor port in the cabin. I've left out things like the crank sensor, MAF sensor, etc. Those you will have to deal with on the fly.
if it has a 5 speed manual tranny its a puegoet thats a pile of crap
