My 4wd! Light came on 2 days ago as I was pulling out of the parking lot from getting 2 new tires on the front. New tires 15 50 17, old 15 60 17, is that enough difference to be the problem?
ALso had them aligned. Saw another
question where guy had this problem and
his tires werent same size as stock. It's an
Yes, I would think so. You are putting strain on the AWD system. The 215 50 17's are 25.5" in Diameter, the 215/60-17 are 27.2" in Diameter. So a difference of 1.7". With AWD model cars the tires must measure within .25-.5" of each other. 215-60/17 should be your tire I think. Some Jeeps came with 215-65/17's. I'm surprised the tire shop installed the 50 series knowing the rears didn't match.
2007 is the 1st Model year for the Compass. Mine was purchased in November 2006, but its a 2007 Model.
