car wont turn over

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

how to see if battery is any good

Tom Demyan

Get a voltmeter or multimeter and probe the negative and positive battery terminals. What DC voltage do you read? should be over 12.3 for a healthy battery. 12V and under, time for a charge or replacement. Most batteries last only 4-6 years.
