Can you go thru the bed, to replace a fuel pump

2007 Ram SLT 1500 Quad Cab 5.7 hemi.... Alternator and fuel pump went
out at the same time??Replaced alternator, turned over but no start. Found
fuel pump no good also??? Is that common and can I cut hole in bed to
access the fuel pump, instead of dropping tank??? Please Help

It has a 32 gal. tank.

Yes but why would you do that, it changes the structure and overall stability of the bed, I have done it the two ways, dropping the fuel tank and loosing the bed and lifting it off just enough to remove the pump assembly.
