i have an antifreeze leak, my car overheated, smoked and there was a noise coming from the engine and the thermostat light would not shut off, what could it be?

If it was that hot it most likely is a fried engine, too much heat can also mess up sensors and sending units. It may already be too late but after it cools overnight check the oil and smell it, if you get a burnt smell it's probably gone, and if you were able to get it too run it might not last too long cause all of the tempering has been lost. You can see if it will even crank after it has cooled, but be prepared for the worst.
