i have a 1984 318 Dodge van and i get NO response when i turn the key, nothing

I replaced the battery, nothing, no radio, no starter, no interior lights, any ideas?

Sounds you like have a grounding issue. Check all you engine grounds, battery terminal cables, coil wires, and for any wire that lost it's insulation that is touching anything metal.

thanks, as it works out, it was a dead battery, actually 3 dead batteries. My son couldn't get it going and some how killed the main battery and 2 other back up batteries to the point not even the radio would work....he didn't tell me that......16 hours on the charger and one of them started her up no problem.....
