Even if you were able to hotwire the ignition and starter, the steering column would stay locked. I would not recommend hammering with a screwdriver. Call a locksmith!

It's a really old Dodge the steering column never locks up what do you think?

Personally I thing it would cast more to repair it than to get a ride. Beside the lucking teeth will not strip or brake with a screwdriver. Please click on "Mark helpful" if you're happy with the respond. Good luck :-)

Call a cab. Have a key made if you get pulled over they will think the worst and you will have to prove its yours.

The main thing here to understand is that if we even did know how to get around a no key problem we do not tell others how to do the same, we repair them, you want to circumvent and destroy your lock & hope we can inform on how to do so and this is an open site which means for years to come people who wish to do dishonest things with the information you are asking will have it at their fingers. So no one here should give out any advise to do so.
