I replaced the wires and cap but can't remember which wire goes where.

#1 is your drivers side front cyl drivers side is 1 3 5 7 and passenger is 2 4 6 8

a 1979 dodge challenger was a little 4 cyl rebadged mitsu, that they only made a few of, so that V8 plug pattern is worthless to you. you're gonna have to get a chiltons manual, or google the firing order for a 79 "challenger"/ plymouth shappero.
