Do all auto stores know how to check codes for a Mercedes. or are Mercedes code different
I'm sure the standard OBDii code reader will work fine to pull general codes( if you have some), but they probably won't be able to interpret ABS or transmission codes. Stop in one of them and see.
Any garage worth their salt should have a code reader these days since all modern cars are basically computers with wheels. That said, don't be out off by a garage that doesn't have one, its spooky but guys who've been in the trade forever just seem to know! If a guy with white hair pulls out a welding rod and puts it on top of your engine then puts it to his ear, you know he's old school haha...
