1999 slk 230 cut off and won't do anything. gauges work when ignition turned on. engine does nothing. after 30 minutes car will restart.

when running, any check engine lights, or indicaators? when it starts how long will it stay running? 15 minutes or so, or more or less?

sounds like the k40 relay ! mine did the same sort of thing but when i tried to start mine the rad fan came on. you will find videos on youtube of how to easy fix the k40 relay, i fixed mine and it starts every time now :)
