When did this begin? was there anything unusual like heavy rain , engine work etc. i'm not condemning the ECU but it sounds as though an "Algorithm" may have corrupted. Your Mercedes dealer may be able to help you with that

it started about 8 mts ago but each time something was done it appeared to have solved it then it came back each time

What did they do to solve it ,,, did they do the same thing to fix it or was it something different each time?

First they sed it was timing chains and pulleys it cured it Aprox 5 wks later it went again so fitted electric packs to 1 and 2 plus plugs Sorted it for aprox 3 wks Then mass airflow Now they are saying 2 injector

When it gose it miss fires on 2 but only when revs drop If revs are kept up it is fine

Find another Mercedes dealer before this place sells you a new car //// one piece at a time

I was looking for a common link in the repairs ... As a parting shot ,, have them replace the performance chip ... or buy an aftermarket one yourself and install it ... pull out the old .. put in the new I will research it if you want
