gas but not

Find out if it is fuel or spark related, checking spark is easy just pull the coils tower wire and crank it over watching for spark out of the tower, if no spark then it is a possible ignition module and or the distributor pickup coil inside the distributor. To check if it is fuel spray a little starter fluid down the air intake while some one is cranking it over, if it starts and runs for a short burst then it is fuel related, that could be a relay, bad connections in the fuel pump circuit or even a bad fuel pump.
